Job summary

Rothe is seeking an IT Multimedia Communications Specialist to support NASA's data and AI initiatives from a remote location. You will develop communications plans, craft employee messages, and create content across newsletters, videos, and executive presentations.

The role requires turning complex technical information into clear content for non-technical audiences, editing to NASA standards, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external media relations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain communications plans using SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices.
• Provide communications support to advance awareness, adoption, and understanding of NASA’s data and AI initiatives.
• Author employee-facing messages, FAQs, memoranda, announcements, talking points, and executive presentations.
• Develop and write success stories on data and AI usage across the agency.
• Turn complex technical information into clear, concise content for non-technical audiences.
• Provide technical editing using NASA documentation standards and AP style.
• Develop executive level reports and respond to inquiries about them.
• Manage, edit, and proof content for multimedia platforms; support CDAIO speaking engagements with materials.
• Serve as point of contact for external media relations, social media, internal stakeholders, and civic, service, and educational organizations.
• This position is remote. Occasional travel to NASA centers is required for badging and related activities.

Rothe is seeking an IT Multimedia Communications Specialist to provide remote strategic communications, create marketing campaigns, and maintain social media for the Chief Data Office at NASA. The work will be in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract.

Establish and maintain communications plans using SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices; provide communications support that advances awareness, adoption, and understanding of NASA’s data and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives; author employee-facing messages, FAQs, memoranda, announcements, talking points, and executive presentations; develop and write success stories on data and AI usage across the agency; turn complex technical information into clear, concise content for non-technical audiences; provide technical editing using NASA documentation standards and AP style; develop executive level reports and respond to inquiries about them; manage, edit, and proof content for multimedia platforms; support CDAIO speaking engagements with scheduling, content preparation, and follow-up materials; and serve as point of contact for external media relations, social media, internal stakeholders, and civic, service, and educational organizations. This position is remote. Occasional travel is required, including to the nearest NASA center for badging. A reliable internet connection and the ability to VPN into the NASA network are required.
