Job summary

Wimmer Solutions Corporation is seeking an OutSystems Developer to design, build, and support enterprise web and mobile applications on the OutSystems platform in Seattle. This role covers both connected and offline field operations, including rugged handheld devices and barcode scanning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using OutSystems.

This role will work as an OutSystems Developer and is responsible for the design, development, implementation, support, and enhancement of enterprise web and mobile applications built on the OutSystems platform. This role develops solutions used across desktop, mobile, tablet, and rugged handheld devices, including Zebra/Symbol scanners, supporting both connected and offline field operations. The position serves as a technical leader, partnering with business and IT teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions for business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using OutSystems.
• Build and maintain responsive web applications, native/hybrid mobile applications, and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Develop applications for Android, iOS, tablets, and rugged handheld devices, including Zebra MC93 and similar barcode-scanning devices.
• Design and support offline-capable mobile solutions with synchronization and disconnected operation for field users.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, ERP platforms, logistics systems, and cloud services.
• Implement barcode scanning, camera, GPS, mobile plugins, and device-specific capabilities.
• Troubleshoot mobile applications, plugins, MABS builds, Android/iOS issues, and production incidents.
• Participate in architecture reviews, security assessments, CI/CD processes, release management, disaster recovery planning, and production support.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, document solutions, and establish development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on OutSystems development experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience developing both web and mobile applications using OutSystems.
• Experience with rugged handheld devices, barcode scanners, and mobile workforce solutions.
• Experience with Android and iOS mobile application development concepts.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• OutSystems Professional or Expert certifications.
• Experience with Zebra/Symbol handheld devices, barcode scanning solutions, and field operations applications.
• Experience with offline synchronization, satellite or limited-connectivity environments, and mobile workforce applications.
• Knowledge of Android Studio, Java, Xcode, Swift, Cordova plugins, and OutSystems MABS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, mobile device management (MDM), Intune, and SSO/SAML authentication.
