Job Summary:

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and effective use of all systems and technology resources at the location.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the performance of all IT-based applications and systems at the location.
  2. Train and support management teams in the proper use and maintenance of systems and applications.
  3. Conduct proactive maintenance of systems and IT infrastructure at the location.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for issues/user queries.
  5. Serve as the primary contact for systems support and IT-related inquiries within their region.
  6. Coordinate system and application training through the Home Office IT team with vendors or internal resources as requested.
  7. Follow IT service priorities to ensure the best support and communication to their locations, regional support teams, and the Home Office.
  8. Provide systems support.
  9. Coordinate on-site support for location events as requested.
  10. Act as the escalation point for the support of all IT-related systems.
  11. Manage location system issue logs.
  12. Participate in regularly scheduled calls with Home Office personnel and vendors to review outstanding issues.
  13. Communicate progress to relevant location, regional, and Home Office personnel as needed.
  14. Maintain inventory counts of all field-based systems by location and service offering within their respective region.
  15. Follow up with location and Regional Management at regular intervals to ensure systems are performing as expected.
  16. Ensure systems and servers are properly patched, on a consistent software version, and running in a stable environment throughout their region, due quarterly.
  17. Escalate location-level system upgrade/replacement requirements and development requests to the Home Office IT team.
  18. Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing system installations and upgrades.
  19. Understand and execute technical priorities, standards, and procedures for existing and future systems as directed.
  20. Review and evaluate new technology and system offerings against current and future business needs; work with Home Office IT to recommend implementations.
  21. Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of products and maintain technical and operational analysis of strengths and weaknesses.
  22. Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for local IT support (local IT managers, or hourly IT technicians).
  23. Lead and follow up with vendor resources, on-site support, or location teams on projects.
  24. Other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years supporting POS systems in the hospitality/restaurant industry preferred.
  • Core skills: network, database, scripting.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Ability to analyze issues and follow escalation plans.
  • Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with cloud-based POS systems (e.g., Appetize, Bypass, VenueNext) preferred.
  • Experience with PCI compliance preferred.
