State-of-South-Carolina is seeking a skilled professional to assist the PMO Director in planning, implementing and deploying IT solutions across the enterprise. The role supports project management best practices and coordinates with agencies, end users and external consultants to align with agency initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, IT, mathematics, statistics, MIS or related field and at least 3.5 years of IT/telecom experience;

Assists the Project Manager Office (PMO) Director with the successful planning, implementation, and deployment of Information Technology solutions in an enterprise environment. Assists the PMO Director with developing and implemementing project management best practices, fine-tuning the strategic directiion of the PMO in its support of agency initiatives, as well as support to the overall mission and goals of the Information Technology department.

Assists the PMO Director with the successful implementation of information technology projects. This includes evaluating, recommending, planning, implementing, documenting, and coordinating the deployment of IT solutions. Coordinates communications and technical directions between SCDOT departments, their end users, and outside consultants related to information technology projects. Develops strategic plans and directions related to technology projects including project best practices, use of innovative technologies for project collaboration and communication, and the development of project tracking and reporting tools. Assists the PMO Director with developing and deploying project management standards in an enterprise IT environment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and three and one-half (3.5) years of experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal business hours. This position may entail occasional overnight travel associated with projects within the State of South Carolina, attendance at industry conferences, or corrdination meetings with other state transportation agencies.
