University Services IT is seeking a Manager of Information Technology to lead technical administration, drive system health, and coordinate with USIT, OIT, and campus partners to improve services and automate processes. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, security governance, and enterprise system stewardship.

The position requires strong collaboration across departments, project leadership for system implementations, and ongoing alignment with campus IT governance and procurement

Responsibilities

• Serves as technical administration and second-tier support for assigned departmental IT systems, software, and applications.
• Provides troubleshooting and escalation support with vendors, USIT partners, and OIT hardware teams for software, hardware, mobile apps, or other technology.
• Maintains and supports configuration of on-premises and hosted IT services that support departmental operations.
• Ensures redundancy in support of critical systems by training department staff and partners as appropriate.
• Acts as in-house expert of departmental systems, their interfaces, and database structures; documents systems architecture, data, and integrations.
• Supports business continuity and disaster recovery plans for assigned departmental systems.
• Guides data integrity and security compliance with technical documentation and system support.
• Serves as technical point of contact with vendors to resolve issues, implement features, and test against defined plans.
• Develops process automation with low-code forms and workflows.
• Supports system availability through monitoring, alerts, and incident response in collaboration with partners.
