Job summary

ERock is seeking an IT Manager to lead delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT services across a distributed environment. You will own the helpdesk, drive automation, and ensure secure, scalable systems with strong vendor partnerships.

The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, enabling productivity and resilience in Houston, TX. A bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in IT ops, with automation experience, are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field is required.
7+ years in IT ops, infrastructure, or end-user support with leadership.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Experience applying automation (PowerShell, scripting, workflow) to optimize IT ops.
Experience running IT service/helpdesk functions and ticketing systems.
Strong knowledge of enterprise IT environments and end-user tech.
Familiar with ITSM principles and IT security basics.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day IT operations across end-user support, systems, and infrastructure.
Own the helpdesk function, including workflows, SLAs, and knowledge base.
Escalation point for complex technical issues with clear stakeholder communication.
Oversee lifecycle of IT assets: hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions.
Manage onboarding/offboarding and secure provisioning/deprovisioning.
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and apps teams to ensure reliability.
Ensure data backup, DR, and business continuity are in place and tested.
Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and security controls.
Lead IT staff growth, coaching, performance, and career development.
Plan and deliver IT projects within budget and schedule.
