Job summary

Addison Group in Austin, TX seeks an IT Manager to own day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, security, and software. This hands-on leadership role drives modernization, automation, and strategic initiatives across the technology environment.

You will lead hardware and software projects, manage vendors, and collaborate with senior leaders to align IT with business goals. Fully onsite position with a competitive package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or related area.
  • Experience managing IT projects and implementing technology across an organization.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, security, systems administration, cloud technologies, and business applications.
  • Experience evaluating technology solutions and managing vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on leadership with ability to balance strategy and detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, IS, or related field preferred but not required.

  • Lead technology implementations, integrations, migrations, and optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve business efficiency.
  • Manage IT vendors, software licenses, contracts, and relationships.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify technology needs and develop solutions.
  • Drive automation and process improvements, including AI opportunities.
  • Establish security, access, onboarding/offboarding, and IT standards.
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation and adoption.
  • Help build and scale the IT function as the organization grows.

IT Manager

Location: Austin, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM

Work Arrangement: Fully onsite

Compensation: $75,000-$130,000

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, systems, or a related area.
  • Experience managing IT projects and implementing technology across an organization.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, security, systems administration, cloud technologies, and business applications.
  • Experience evaluating technology solutions and managing vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • A hands-on, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to operate strategically while still getting into the details.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • AI tools such as Claude
