Job description

About Sprinter Health

Sprinter Health is rebuilding healthcare delivery from the ground up. Our mission: bring high-quality, preventive care to the people who need it most—directly in their homes. We started in 2021 with a bold idea: to untether care from the clinic using smart logistics, scalable clinical operations, and real-time data.

In just a few years, we’ve:

Served 100,000+ patients

Grown 6x revenue in 2024

Expanded to cover 62%+ of the U.S. population

Earned the trust of 6 of the 10 largest U.S. health plans

Raised $125M+ from top-tier investors like a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel

The Role

We’re hiring an IT Manager to help scale and support the technical foundation of our fast-growing, distributed workforce. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting both corporate and clinical teams across more than 400 employees nationwide. You’ll own endpoint management, IT operations, device logistics, and vendor tools—all with a strong lens on automation, security, and service excellence.

What you'll own:

Endpoint & Device Management (30%)
  • Manage the lifecycle of laptops, mobile devices, and medical kits across corporate and clinical staff
  • Standardize MDM provisioning for nurse practitioner kits and field devices
  • Automate device setup and tracking for new hires and remote contractors
  • Own the process for secure equipment retrieval, reimaging, and redeployment
  • Determine device standards across user groups (Engineering, Ops, Clinical, etc.) and drive upgrade cycles
  • Oversee workstation maintenance, OS patching, and endpoint protection
️ IT Helpdesk & Operational Support (20%)
  • Build internal IT support workflows with a focus on Slack-based requests
  • Triage software access issues and bugs across tools like Zendesk and Five9
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics with People Ops
  • Maintain provisioning checklists and day-of support for critical hardware or software blockers
  • Create intuitive setup guides and training videos for new devices
Security (15%)
  • Implement and monitor endpoint protection and secure authentication systems
  • Lead vulnerability management, device hardening, and patching
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks (e.g., lost/stolen device protocols)
  • Drive company-wide phishing simulations and staff security training
Compliance (15%)
  • Partner with Legal on HIPAA, SOC2, and BAA vendor compliance
  • Maintain audit-readiness with clear access logs, device inventories, and written policies
  • Support periodic internal and external security assessments
Software Procurement & Vendor Management (10%)
  • Manage licenses and contracts for core software: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Figma, etc.
  • Negotiate renewals and evaluate cost-saving opportunities by eliminating unused tools
  • Centralize vendor relationships across Product, Clinical, Ops, and Finance
Clinical Infrastructure Support (10%)
  • Ensure reliable hardware setup for field-based clinicians and mobile teams
  • Standardize kits for home-based visits (barcode scanners, printers, mobile hotspots)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot field connectivity and wireless signal strength; provide continuous evaluation of best connectivity solutions
  • Set baseline expectations and configurations for secure remote work setups
Who are you?
  • You’ve built out IT programs from the ground up—especially employee device management at high-growth startups
  • You’ve managed IT infrastructure and device fleets at scale—ideally across distributed or hybrid teamsYou take pride in clean systems, documentation, and high standards of support
  • You understand the stakes of keeping clinical operations running without disruption
  • You’re proactive, solutions-oriented, and collaborative across technical and non-technical teams
  • Bonus: You’ve supported HIPAA-compliant environments or healthcare technology orgs before
Why Sprinter?
  • Mission-driven: We serve patients who are often overlooked by the healthcare systemReal ownership: Autonomy to build systems that scale as we grow
  • Speed & impact: Work in a startup environment with meaningful day-one responsibilities
