Job summary

Belden's US Internship Program offers current students a 12‑week, project‑based experience in Information Technology at the Richmond, IN office. You will work on real business problems, collaborate with a global team, and develop project management, analytics, and interpersonal skills.

As part of a fast‑paced IT function, you’ll contribute to security operations, reporting dashboards, and Tableau analytics while learning how enterprise systems and cloud environments support the business.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or computing‑focused Engineering.
• Technical internship or work experience in software development, data analytics, ERP, or IT infrastructure – deployed output preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to relocate for rotational assignments and authorization to work in the country of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Operations Center investigations to ensure Incident Response processes and procedures are followed.
• Review and assist in the creation of standard operating procedures.
• Perform Threat Hunting and complete Endpoint, Detection, and Response (EDR) dispositions.
• Develop Tableau analytics and build insightful reporting dashboards for internal leaders in other regions.

Information Technology at Belden is a strategic function embedded in every part of the business. The team manages enterprise systems, runs global infrastructure across networks, servers, and cloud environments, and leads cybersecurity operations.

IT Internship roles provides the opportunity to work out of the Richmond, IN office.

How you can add value within the IT function:

• Current enrollment with pursuit of bachelor’s or master’s degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or computing-focused Engineering

• Technical internship or work experience in software development, data analytics, ERP, or IT infrastructure – deployed output preferred

• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities

• High learning agility and intellectual curiosity along with initiative, accountability, and a bias for action
