Job summary

Plastic Ingenuity's IT Intern role offers hands-on experience across end-user support, basic infrastructure, and business application assistance. On-site days at Cross Plains will involve new users online, devices staged, and queue-driven priorities.

You will document observations and coordinate with teammates to ensure smooth handoffs between shifts and future work. The position emphasizes real-world IT skills, including help desk processes, hardware deployment, software support, and adherence

Qualifications

• Pursuing an IT-related degree (2- or 4-year).
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and ticketing operations.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and professional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle help desk tickets from open to close.
• Perform basic hardware setup, imaging, and deployment.
• Move workstations and install peripherals.
• Support Windows OS and business applications.
• Enforce security/access-control policies and acceptable-use policies.
• Assist with system testing and troubleshooting.
