Job summary

Harford Mutual Insurance Group is seeking an IT intern to support the Tech Services IT team during the summer of 2027. This position is for students pursuing IT degrees and provides hands-on experience in enterprise technology operations, endpoint management, customer support, and cybersecurity initiatives within a professional insurance environment.

You will deploy workstations, upgrade software, maintain IT documentation, assist with patching and vulnerability remediation, and participate in

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Information Technology or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and help desk practices; PowerShell scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Tech Services IT team on ongoing projects.
• Deploying and reimaging workstations; upgrading OS and enterprise software.
• Update, organize, and maintain IT documentation.
• Assist with asset lifecycle management.
• Assist with monthly security patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Respond to end-user requests via ticketing systems; escalate as needed.
• Assist with endpoint management including Microsoft Intune and hardware lifecycle management.
• Participate in IT documentation and process improvement.
