Job summary

OxyChem in Houston, TX is offering a Summer IT Intern position. You will work on core business systems, receive mentorship, and contribute to a key project with guidance from a manager and SAP IT team.

You will gain hands-on experience with SAP IT processes while collaborating with IT professionals across functions, in a 9/80 schedule and relocation assistance if needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering with an emphasis in Technology or General IT.
• Must have graduation date December 2027 – May 2029.
• Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• The intern will have exposure and training on business systems that are core to OxyChem’s operations.
• Interaction with all key IT personnel that will support completion of the project and subsequent presentation.
• Periodic shadowing opportunities with SAP IT team.
• Training sessions with SAP IT team to develop understanding of OxyChem's environment and various of our IT processes that support our business and operations.
• Daily interaction with IT team in our Houston office.
