Billings Clinic is seeking an IT Intern to join PMO / Operations team in Billings, MT. Under supervision, you will assist in developing business solutions, organizing, planning, implementation, support and maintenance of hardware and software solutions across the health system.
Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with day, evening, and weekend shifts; a temporary position designed to provide hands-on experience in enterprise IT projects, service desk activities and IT operations.

Under direct supervision and guidance and in accordance withestablished policies and procedures, assists in developing business solutions,organizing, planning, implementation, support and maintenance of hardware andsolutions in the Billings Clinic Health System. This position is expected toparticipate as a team member on enterprise-level technical projects, acceptingtasks and providing relevant results. Focus areas typically includeService Desk and PC analytics.
Essential Job Functions
• Serves as a technical resource for the organization and health system’scustomers, staff, physicians and administration. Provides support duringtechnical crises. Acts as role model of professional Information Technologypractices. Promotes Information Technology across the organization, utilizingtechnical knowledge, theory and technical skills to promote optimal outcomesthrough best practice.
• Participates in professional and technical organizations to improvetechnology and improve healthcare through technology, and to advance inInformation Technology.
• Collaborates with multiple disciplines to organize and coordinate technologyenhancements to improve Information Technology outcomes. Is a contributor inthe development of policies and procedures.
• Identifies technical problems/issues needing research and escalates issues asneeded and to the appropriate resources. Communicates results of research toappropriate individuals/groups
• Provides regular communication to all members of the project management team,Operations and leadership as well as all clients involved in respective projector tickets.
• Analyze customer needs, review current processes, and recommend options andapproaches to implementation and support.
• Maintains required documentation
Minimum Qualifications
Education
• Within 1 year of graduation (2 or 4 year degree)
Certifications and Licenses
• Current Montana driver's license and the ability to be insured to operateBillings Clinic vehicles
