Job summary

NCR Voyix is seeking an Information Technology Intern for a summer program in Atlanta. You will work with experienced engineers on IT solutions spanning data modeling, security, ML, and system administration, contributing to real projects from week one.

As a rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, you will gain mentorship, attend leadership sessions, and present your project at the Internship Expo, showcasing impact and learning across the organization.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a technical discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Science).
• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Passion for developing clear, robust, testable software or technology solutions.
• Willingness to learn new coding languages, tools, technologies, and environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with programming languages, industry-standard tools, and technology platforms.
• Assist with scripting, automation, and software development activities under guidance.
• Support software testing, debugging, and quality assurance for internal applications.

TITLE: Information Technology Intern (2027)

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

Your Impact as an Information Technology Intern

As an Information Technology Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and enhance IT solutions that power retail, restaurant, payments, and digital commerce experiences around the globe. You'll contribute to innovative products that help our customers streamline operations, improve experiences, and unlock new business opportunities.

What you’ll do

Starting week one, you will take ownership of a meaningful project while participating in professional development, networking events, and cohort experiences designed to strengthen your business acumen and leadership skills. Throughout the summer, you will receive mentorship from experienced professionals, engage in speaker sessions with NCR Voyix's global executive leadership team, and gain insight into career paths within the Global Technology organization. The experience culminates at our Internship Expo, where you will present your project, showcase your impact, and engage with leaders from across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Gain hands‑on experience with a variety of programming languages, industry‑standard tools, and technology platforms. Depending on the focus of the role, support initiatives related to data modeling, network security, machine learning, ethical AI, system administration, and other technology disciplines.

• Assist with scripting, automation, and software development activities under the guidance of experienced team members.

• Support software testing, debugging, and quality assurance efforts for internally developed applications.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant technical discipline (e.g Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Science)

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree

Location

Internships are onsite, five days a week, at our Atlanta GA Global Headquarters.

Duration

The NCR VOYIX Intern program runs from late May to early August.
