Job summary

Year Up United is seeking an Information Technology Instructor to lead IT courses for about 50 students daily, aligning with A+ competencies in Excel, hardware, and networking. You will guide project-based learning, offer one-on-one coaching, and help students prepare for internships while collaborating with peers to refine the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; industry certs acceptable.
• Master’s degree preferred; 1–3 years teaching experience; urban youth experience a plus.
• Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and eLearning approaches.
• Proficiency with LMS (BrightSpace) and video conferencing tools.

Responsibilities

• Instruct IT courses for ~50 students daily using aligned curriculum with A+ competencies.
• Lead project-based learning and provide one-on-one support outside class.
• Collaborate to refine IT curriculum and ensure industry relevance.
• Assess learning progress and support internship transitions.
• Participate in academic planning, coaching, and weekly learning sessions.
