Beaufort County is seeking an IT Manager to oversee IT service delivery, security standards, and policy enforcement. You will manage budgets, vendors, and projects while leading IT staff, including hiring, performance management, scheduling, and discipline to support secure operations.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent and 4+ years of IT management experience, plus CompTIA A+. A valid SC driver's license is required.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent (two years of college education).
• 4+ years of related IT management experience, up to 8 years.
• CompTIA A+ certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

• Oversee and ensure effective IT service delivery by monitoring systems, supporting daily operations, and maintaining reliable support processes.
• Manage IT budgets, vendors, contracts, and projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
• Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards to protect organizational systems and data.
• Establish and align IT strategy and priorities with overall organizational goals and objectives.
• Supervise IT staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, scheduling, and disciplinary actions, to maintain a productive team.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-risk technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional departments to support organizational initiatives and technology needs.
• Perform related work as assigned.

Typical QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires an Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education.
• Over four years and up to and including eight years of related experience.

Special Certifications And Licenses

• CompTIA A+ is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
