IT Infrastructure LeadThis role reports to our main office in South Weber, UT M-F.Job Purpose:The IT Infrastructure Lead at Sure Steel Inc is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, security, and scalability. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, developing strategic plans for infrastructure growth, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize technology resources in alignment with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and professional growth.Develop and implement strategic plans for IT infrastructure that align with the company's business goals and objectives.Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of network systems, servers, storage, and other infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure by implementing best practices and staying informed about emerging threats and technologies.Manage vendor relationships to ensure the procurement of necessary hardware and software resources within budgetary constraints.Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.Prepare and manage the budget for IT infrastructure, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative technologies that drive business success.Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Required Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a similar role.Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams.Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing IT infrastructure strategies.Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.Familiarity with network and security management.Required Skills and Abilities:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Proficient in IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, and networking.Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of ITIL processes and practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
