Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. Based in Christiana, Delaware, this Contract opportunity follows an Onsite work arrangement and offers the chance to strengthen secure, reliable technology services across an enterprise environment.

The position will contribute to infrastructure modernization, remote access improvements, and security enhancements while collaborating with technical and business partners. Success in this role requires deep Microsoft infrastructure knowledge, practical security experience, sound troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver well documented technical projects.

Compensation: $55 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Engineer

• Deliver infrastructure improvements that increase the availability, performance, and protection of business critical technology services.
• Oversee the design and implementation of virtual desktop services, secure access gateways, and controlled connectivity for external users.
• Support the transition from conventional virtual private network solutions to identity based access models aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Maintain core server, directory, network, virtualization, and endpoint security technologies while resolving complex operational issues.
• Coordinate technical projects from planning through implementation, including stakeholder communication, solution documentation, testing, and support transition.

Qualifications and Skills for the IT Infrastructure Engineer

• At least five years of experience delivering enterprise Microsoft infrastructure solutions, supported by a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to implement remote desktop platforms, secure access gateways, vendor connectivity solutions, and cloud based secure access services within Microsoft 365 E5 or comparable enterprise environments.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise identity management, Conditional Access, Zero Trust architecture, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server 2019 or 2022.
• Practical experience with VMware vSphere or Hyper V, firewalls, routing, virtual private networks, endpoint protection, identity threat detection, and other secure connectivity technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and project delivery capabilities, with preferred experience in regulated or critical infrastructure settings and familiarity with recognized cybersecurity frameworks and federal security guidance.
