Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Computer Operator III to join the NESD. The role provides first-line IT incident resolution via phone, email, chat and forms, diagnosing and resolving issues or escalating as needed.

The position requires 2+ years of related experience, a SECRET clearance eligibility, and ITIL/HDI readiness within 90 days. Hybrid work is available with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• General experience: Intermediate level of technical experience with software.
• Experience providing support via remote tools.
• Demonstrated root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and supporting end-users with technical issues and questions related to specialized Navy software systems via multiple support channels.
• Applying basic troubleshooting to identify technical problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
• Documenting requests and incidents according to business processes and SOPs.
• Documenting detailed work notes regarding interactions with the customer.
• Providing case status updates to management and end-users per service level guidelines.
• Maintaining a high level of courteous customer service at all times.
