Job summary

Intratek Computer, Inc. is seeking an IT Help Desk specialist to support us in Dallas Fort Worth, TX 75261. The role is onsite, contract-based, with hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. Start ASAP.

Benefits include medical, paid vacation, and paid holidays. The candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers and perform remote troubleshooting as needed. Three years of technical support experience and strong knowledge of PC hardware, networking, Windows, and Office 365

Qualifications

• Minimum of three-year experience in a technical support role and related field customer service experience.
• Experience in PC hardware and laptop repair, networking, Windows, remote client connectivity and software installation/removal.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone or email.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and determine best solution based on information provided.
• Maintain technical proficiency in IT areas and assist with IT support tasks.
• Respond to IT requests from the ticketing system and route unresolved issues to higher-level support.
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services and suggest procedural improvements.

Duties and Requirements

• Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
• Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questionsDetermining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
• They will maintain a high level of technical proficiency in the area of personal computing, and application support through experience, on the job training, and formal IT training
• Respond to technical IT assistance requests from the ticketing system
• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services
• Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures

Experience

• Minimum of three-year experience in a technical support role and related field customer
• service experience.
• Experience in and working knowledge of PC hardware and laptop repair, networking, Microsoft Windows, remote client connectivity and software installation and removal.
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong analytical skills; able to assess and solve issues in a high-pressure environment
• Maintains a good understanding of IT industry trends.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to participate in after hours on-call support
• Proficiency in Office365 and other business software applications
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
