Job summary

Lippert is seeking an IT Hardware Specialist to manage enterprise hardware and software assets across the organization. You will oversee procurement, license tracking, and CMDB accuracy, while optimizing asset spending and ensuring compliance with vendor contracts.

The role requires 1–2 years in IT asset management, knowledge of IT hardware and software, and ability to work indoors in an office setting with prolonged screen time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and long‑term operational and strategic management of hardware and software.
• Plan, monitor, and record hardware assets and/or software license to ensure compliance with vendor contracts in various software tools.
• Ensure effective management of the CMDB and that its contents are accurate.
• Provide supervision to staff of procurement analysts.
• Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis, together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management.
• Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software models in the DML from introduction to retirement.
• Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets.

Summary / Objective

The IT Hardware Specialist will be responsible for enterprise-wide inventory of hardware and software assets at Lippert.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inventory management for both hardware and software.
• Procurement of IT equipment.
• Identify opportunities for waste elimination and increased efficiencies by best utilizing existing asset resources.
• Optimize asset spending within IT Support.
• Develop, implement, and maintain processes, standards, and policies relating to hardware asset management.

Working Conditions

• Primarily working indoors, in an office environment.
• May sit for several hours at a time.
• Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
• Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time exempt position and hours will be determined by the hiring manager.

Travel

Travel for this role is required. It will be minimal and primarily local during working hours.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A+ Certification.

Work Authorization / Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
