Job summary

Great American Insurance Group seeks an IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance professional to design and enhance governance processes across SOX, access governance, and IT controls. You will partner with IT and business stakeholders to assess risks, monitor controls, and drive remediation activities in a hybrid in-office/remote environment.

The role requires 6+ years in IT GRC and familiarity with ServiceNow and SailPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Typically 6+ years in IT governance, risk management, compliance, or audit.
• Professional designations such as CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CRISC are preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with GRC tools supporting governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports design, execution, and improvement of IT governance, risk, and compliance processes.
• Partners with IT leadership and stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and communicate technology risk.
• Supports compliance readiness and control execution across SOX, access governance, vulnerability management, and IT controls.
• Leverages analytics and AI to modernize governance processes and improve efficiency.
• Develops risk reporting, dashboards, and insights for leadership visibility.
• Identifies opportunities to automate governance activities and remediation workflows.
• Facilitates IT audits and evidence collection, tracking remediation and status.
• Maintains documentation for governance processes, controls, and risk records.
• Provides guidance and training on governance expectations and risk practices.
• Monitors emerging technology and AI-enabled process improvements to evolve practices.
• Serves as trusted advisor translating risk topics into actionable guidance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
