Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking an experienced IT Generalist/Field Technician based in Lebanon, OH. This full-time role involves performing general maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing end-user support across various locations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of IT support experience, be knowledgeable in MS Office and network systems, and possess strong communication skills. The position offers a supportive working environment and is part of a dedicated team serving the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting IT needs for multiple locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lb, climb ladders and maneuver in cramped IT closets.
• Experience with Office 365 in a hybrid environment.

• Prepare and deploy new equipment, including end‑user devices.
• Support organization‑wide Hikvision Camera System.

Job description

Otterbein Senior Life has an opening for a full‑time, salaried IT Generalist/Field Technician. The position is located at Otterbein SeniorLife in Lebanon, OH. The candidate will perform general maintenance and end‑user support tasks, and analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware and peripheral equipment both remotely and on‑site. Frequent travel to all Otterbein sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Center – respond to calls, emails and tickets to resolve end‑user issues through remote or hands‑on support
• Repair, rebuild, prepare and deploy new equipment as needed, including end‑user devices such as computers and phones, as well as enterprise equipment such as firewalls, switches, access points and UPS units
• Resolve dial tone and other phone system issues
• Documentation – inventory, support center, hardware and software records
• Support organization‑wide Hikvision Camera System
• Support organization‑wide server‑based Nurse & Emergency Call Systems
• Collaborate with others to assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, monitor and improve the organization’s network and technology as the organization grows

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting IT needs for multiple locations

• Knowledge and working experience with Active Directory
• Knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Windows O/S
• Knowledge of network cabling
• Cisco VoIP experience

• A+ certification (additional IT certifications are a plus)
• BS degree in an IT or business‑related major or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Office 365 in a hybrid environment
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lb, climb ladders and maneuver in cramped IT closets
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; able to work independently and in a team environment
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel locally or regionally
