Xcel Energy invites energized students to join our IT Business Operations internship, supporting back office functions such as financial planning & analysis, procurement, and capital project intake.

You will gain hands-on experience in forecasting, budgeting, and month-end reporting while collaborating with a team that values learning and growth.

This internship offers a May 24, 2027 start date with hybrid in-person work and potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week).
• Must commute to the designated work location in-person per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting/budgeting
• Month-end reporting, including variance explanations
• Assist with procurement requests, tracking metrics
• Utilizing forecasting tools like ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management
