Entry Level IT Field Technician

Applicants must have the flexibility to be away from home Monday through Friday. (ALL EXPENSES COVERED)

Our client is seeking a technically minded individual to join their team supporting Patient Simulators. You will install and maintain these simulators at various medical-related sites such as hospitals and universities. The purpose of a patient simulator is to provide a modern approach to hands-on prevention methods, offering next-generation training for professionals and students. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will travel within their specified market area to ensure proper functioning of the simulators through preventive maintenance.

Traveling Information

You can expect to drive up to 5 hours within your area, with gas mileage reimbursement after the 30th mile. Long-distance travel may involve staying in hotels or flying for distances over 5 hours. Most travel is local, but flexibility to travel (driving or flying) Monday through Friday is required. You will be home most nights and on weekends. A 13-week training period will require you to be away from home Monday through Friday, with classroom and field shadowing weekly. All travel expenses will be covered by the client.

Requirements

• Base-level IT knowledge. Experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP ADDRESSING).
• Proficiency with Windows 10.
• MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
• Good electronics aptitude is a plus.
• Strong Customer Service Skills are essential.
• This role is suitable for recent graduates; attending classes or other commitments may interfere.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must take an IKM assessment (similar to a CompTIA A+ exam).

Additional Information

• The simulators run on Windows 10 and connect to the client’s network.
• 13-week training with travel out of state, Monday to Friday.
• All travel expenses are paid by the company.
• Mileage reimbursement for distances over 30 miles.
• $65 per day food credit during travel.
• Installation and maintenance of patient simulators.
• Travel time is paid after the first hour of driving or flying.
• Candidate suitability varies based on experience and technical skills.
• Work hours are calculated as 5 hours for trips under 5 hours, and 8 hours for trips over 5.5 hours.

Pay and Benefits

The hourly pay range is $23.00 - $25.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, EAP, and PTO. Eligibility depends on employment status and duration.
