About the Role
How you will contribute:
- Maintain standards set by the system and network engineering teams for planning and supporting plants in desktop, WAN, LAN, servers, and disaster recovery.
- Provide diagnostic support to the System and Network Engineering Teams and Service Desk for desktops, WAN, LAN, servers, and document site-specific network, server, and end-device details.
- Offer first-level support for incident management and participate in problem and change management activities, including after-hours support when needed.
- Support plant-related IT tasks, including developing ad hoc reports using tools like Qlik Sense and PowerBI.
- Report IT downtime and communicate changes affecting production schedules.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of operational application software and processes, providing support and training to users.
- Perform hands-on fixes, upgrades, hardware installations, backups, and application configurations as directed.
- Manage IT equipment repairs, maintain inventory, and keep repair logs.
- Follow IT asset procedures, including receiving, updating inventory, and decommissioning assets.
- Create and update work instructions, ensuring proper documentation storage.
- Monitor service desk emails, resolve or escalate issues as needed.
- Proactively identify security issues, escalate them, and manage IT asset lifecycle tracking.
- Support site launches, expansions, and server/network refreshes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Community College diploma required; a university degree or relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management systems and PC repairs is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local language; detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and handle multiple tasks.
- Solid understanding of desktop hardware, operating systems, network protocols, server hardware, and OS.
- Compliance with quality, safety, environmental, health, and safety standards.
