IT Field & Remote Support Technician (Project-Based)

Applied Systems, Inc. (ASi) is seeking a reliable, tech-savvy Field & Remote Support Technician for a project-based role supporting a 6-month POS upgrade.

ASi is a well-established and trusted managed IT service provider with over two decades of success in building long-term client relationships. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent IT services through a professional, problem-solving, and reliable approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position requires a 4-day work week: 2 nights and 2 days.
• Participate in onsite overnight POS upgrade projects (2 nights/week).
• Work weekend shifts (2 days/week) for scheduled support.
• Provide remote support for store computers, network devices, and POS terminals.
• Offer on-site support when scheduled (vehicle stipend included).
• Maintain detailed documentation of device inventory, configurations, and escalation procedures.
• Assist with technical needs, following support protocols.
• Coordinate with external vendors (ISPs, terminal support) to resolve service issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably in retail or restaurant environments.
• Proficiency in Windows 10/11, network fundamentals, printer troubleshooting, and remote support tools.
• Experience supporting Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts on a rotating or fixed schedule.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Provide 3 references.
• Status: Project-based with potential for permanent hire.
• Schedule: 40 hours/week.
• Compensation:
