The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Executive Director of Information Technology for the Cockrell School of Engineering. This role will lead the IT group, shaping strategy, modernization, and digital transformation to support cutting-edge research and teaching.

You will oversee IT operations, cybersecurity, budgeting, vendor management, and cross-campus collaboration, while advising the dean and coordinating with department heads. This position is on-site at UT Austin’s main campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• Experience leading a broad technology portfolio across multiple domains.

Responsabilités

• Define IT vision, goals, and multi-year roadmap for research and teaching missions.
• Oversee IT operations, including security, infrastructure, and end-user services.
• Manage ITG budget, vendor management, and procurement.
• Advise the dean on IT matters and represent CSE on University IT committees.
• Lead IT governance and project prioritization across CSE.
