Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT environments for availability and performance.

• Create and update incidents in ITSM tools.
• Follow SOPs and runbooks for routine operations.
• Support deployments and maintenance activities as needed.
• Provide on-call support when required.

JobSummary

We arelooking for a motivated and technically inclined IT Environment SupportEngineer to join our application support team. The candidate will beresponsible for supporting IT environments, monitoring systems andapplications, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and coordinating withsenior technical teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

This isan entry-level position with opportunities to learn enterprise applications,servers, databases, monitoring tools, and IT service management processes.

KeyResponsibilities

• Monitorapplication and IT environments for availability and performance.
• Perform dailyhealth checks of servers, applications, interfaces, and scheduled jobs.
• Monitor batchjobs, background processes, and system alerts.
• Identify andreport system/application issues to the appropriate support team.
• Perform basictroubleshooting of application, connectivity, and environment-relatedissues.
• Create and updateincidents and service requests in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Follow definedSOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Supportapplication start/stop activities and basic environment checks undersupervision.
• Monitor scheduledjobs and investigate failed or delayed jobs.
• Coordinate withapplication, database, infrastructure, and network teams for issueresolution.
• Maintain properdocumentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Participate inknowledge-transfer sessions and continuously develop technical skills.
• Support planneddeployments, maintenance activities, and environment refresh activities.
• Follow ITIL-basedincident, problem, and change management processes.
• Provide shift oron-call support when required.

RequiredTechnical Skills

• Basicunderstanding of Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Basic knowledge ofSQL and databases.
• Understanding ofnetworking fundamentals such as IP, DNS, ports, and connectivity.
• Basic knowledge ofapplication/server architecture.
• Familiarity withtroubleshooting concepts and log analysis.
• Basic knowledge ofscripting such as Shell, PowerShell, or Python is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ITSMtools such as ServiceNow/JIRA is an advantage.
• Good understandingof MS Excel and MS Office.

PreferredSkills

• Knowledge of JDE,SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or other enterprise applications is a plus.
• Exposure tomonitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar toolsis desirable.
• Basicunderstanding of batch processing and job scheduling.
• Basicunderstanding of APIs, integrations, and interfaces is an advantage.

• Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a relateddiscipline.
