Job description

About Cleerly

We’re Cleerly – a healthcare company that’s revolutionizing how heart disease is diagnosed, treated, and tracked. We were founded in 2017 by one of the world’s leading cardiologists and are a growing team of world‑class engineering, operations, medical affairs, marketing, and sales leaders. We raised $223M in Series C funding in 2022 and an additional $106M in a Series C extension in December 2024. Most of our teams work remotely with access to offices in Denver, Colorado; New York, New York; Dallas, Texas; and Lisbon, Portugal, with some roles requiring on‑site presence.

Cleerly has created a new standard of care for heart disease through a value‑based, AI‑driven precision diagnostic solution that helps prevent heart attacks. Our technology quantifies and characterizes atherosclerosis in each of the heart arteries, supported by more than a decade of large clinical trials.

We collaborate digitally using Google Workspace, Slack, Confluence/Jira, and Zoom. While we are mostly remote, travel is required for some team meetings and cross‑function projects typically once per month or once per quarter; for roles such as sales travel could be up to 90% of the time.

About The Opportunity

We have an immediate opening for an IT Engineer to execute on our enterprise IT roadmap. The role is focused on building a secure and compliant enterprise IT ecosystem and driving efficiency for our employees.

What would I be doing?
  • Architect infrastructure: design, deploy, and maintain robust office networking and automated endpoint management systems.
  • Lead IT service delivery: own the IT service desk lifecycle, streamlining request management and resolution protocols.
  • Manage lifecycle and hardware logistics: oversee end‑to‑end hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, inventory tracking, maintenance, and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Drive strategic growth: assist in development of the IT roadmap, forecast software/hardware budgets, and coordinate large‑scale technology upgrades.
  • Ensure security and compliance: partner with InfoSec to participate in compliance audits, gather evidence, and implement zero‑trust access mechanisms (e.g., SASE, VPN).
  • Optimize and scale: proactively identify process bottlenecks and architect scalable, sustainable solutions that support the company’s growth trajectory.
  • Lead strategic IT projects: independently create project plans, establish clear timelines, and manage deliverables based on team bandwidth and capacity.
  • Onsite: work from our Denver office at least 2 days per week.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Enterprise IT, owning and evolving core infrastructure.
  • Expertise in managing macOS and Windows environments, with experience implementing MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, or ManageEngine).
  • Deep proficiency with IAM platforms like Okta, including OIDC and OAuth2.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage secure networking infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wireless technology) and endpoint protection services.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to IT management, reporting on budget utilization, hardware lifecycle, and service metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (InfoSec, HR) to ensure security and compliance posture.
  • Excellent communication skills, conveying complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of mentoring team members and providing strategic technical guidance.
  • Experience tracking requests using ticketing systems such as JIRA.
  • Extensive experience with owning and managing Google Workspace, including user administration, security configurations, and group policies.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment.
  • Strong experience with documentation and technical writing, holding teams accountable for technical documentation.
