Job summary

Together AI is seeking an IT Engineer to support identity, devices, SaaS platforms, and end users across in-office and remote environments.You will manage Okta, fleet MDM for macOS, and core SaaS integrations while assisting with procurement, asset tracking, and documentation.

The role requires strong communication, security awareness, scripting, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a distributed team. This hybrid position supports multiple platforms and locations.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Okta including users, groups, and app integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace.
• MDM experience with macOS, ideally FleetDM.
• Support for macOS, Linux, iOS and Android devices.
• Experience in procurement and asset management processes.
• Clear, concise technical writing for documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Experience with low-code automation tools.
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Understanding of API integrations and webhooks.
• Experience with AWS provisioning and Identity Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable IT support for in-office and remote employees by resolving Help Desk tickets.
• Support Together’s MDM fleet comprising macOS and Linux devices.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues and A/V systems in-office.
• Administer and improve integrations and RBAC for Okta and core SaaS tooling.
• Coordinate hardware procurement and asset tracking throughout lifecycle.
• Create accessible IT documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support IT initiatives and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain security hygiene through access reviews and identity security tasks.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding of employees, interns, contractors.
• Create automations to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with teammates across locations and maintain consistent practices.

About the Role

As an IT Engineer, you will be working across identity, devices, SaaS platforms, and supporting end users. You should be organized, collaborative, and eager to learn while working within established systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, hands-on IT support for our in-office and remote employees by efficiently resolving Help Desk tickets while delivering excellent customer service.
• Support Together’s MDM fleet comprising macOS and some Linux devices.
• Provide in-office support by troubleshooting basic network issues and our A/V systems.
• Help manage and optimize Okta and our core SaaS tooling by administering and improving integrations and role-based access controls.
• Support daily procurement and asset management operations by coordinating hardware purchasing and tracking while maintaining accurate asset inventory and device assignments throughout their lifecycle (purchase to decommission).
• Help maintain clear, organized, and accessible IT documentation by creating easy-to-understand technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to IT initiatives by supporting project execution, managing priorities, and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders through regular updates.
• Help maintain a secure environment by supporting basic security hygiene to include access reviews and basic identity security tasks.
• Support onboarding and offboarding of Together employees, interns, and contractors.
• Support the IT team by creating reliable automations that reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborates well with a team, but also able to work autonomously when needed: working in tandem with other locations and having consistency in practices, documentation, asset mgmt.,etc.

Requirements

• Practical experience administering Okta, including users, groups, and basic app integrations (Terraform a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Hands-on MDM experience with macOS, ideally with FleetDM.
• Ability to support macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android devices.
• Experience participating in procurement and asset management processes.
• Clear, concise technical writing skills for documentation and knowledge base content.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Experience with low‑code automation tools (Serval, Okta Workflows, Gumloop).
• Scripting familiarity with common languages (Bash, Python).
• Understanding of API integrations and webhooks and how to use them effectively.
• Experience with AWS provisioning and Identity Center

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, FedRAMP).
• Experience with AI tools, agents, MCPs, automations, and prompting.
• Familiarity with Notion and Linear for documentation and project management.
• HRIS integration experience with systems like HiBob and Workday.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation, startup equity, health insurance and other competitive benefits. The US base salary range for this full-time position is: $140K - $220k + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by location, level and role. Individual compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
