Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
• Ability to manage complex IT operations within a state agency.
• Ability to negotiate large sums with agencies and vendors.
• Ability to frame issues with policy implications in a technical discipline.
• Ability to delegate, set direction, and manage workflows.
• Ability to provide feedback, guidance, and development.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Establish current and long-range technology goals aligned with the agency mission.
• Lead policy discussions and planning for the future of IT services.
• Set IT policies, review methods, and specifications to support internal processes.
• Act as liaison between IT and other agency functions.
• Direct supervise or provide direction to IT staff and managers.
• Provide technical guidance and authorization for major plans and procedures.
• Evaluate and select IT hardware and software to support operations.
• Represent the IT division at internal and external events and meetings.
