This onsite role requires office hours at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, with responsibilities spanning policy, budgeting, and staff leadership.

Qualifications

• A degree is not required; 7+ years of IT experience or related field with relevant responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish long-range technology goals aligned with agency mission.
• Lead policy development and planning for the future of IT systems.
• Set IT policies, review methods, and select hardware/software strategies.
• Serve as liaison between IT and other agency functions.
• Directly supervise IT staff and provide functional direction.
• Provide technical guidance and authorize major plans and procedures.
• Analyze business needs and evaluate new technologies for internal processes.
• Represent the IT division in internal and external events and meetings.
• Participate in budgeting with agency executives for the IT division.
• Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion within budget and schedule.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop staff; manage performance and timelines.
