IT & Digital Innovation Lead

Position Summary

The IT & Digital Innovation Lead role ensures the operation of the IT department is aligned with the business objectives of the organization. The IT & Digital Innovation Lead ensures reliable operation of EPIC’s technology environment while identifying and implementing opportunities to improve business performance through automation, AI, and digital solutions. The IT & Digital Innovation Lead will provide support for daily operational activities of the company. The IT & Digital Innovation Lead will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s digital innovation efforts by identifying, evaluating, implementing, and driving adoption of automation, AI-enabled, and other technology solutions that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and business performance.
• Partner with business leaders to understand process bottlenecks and recommend technology-based improvements.
• Design and implement workflow automations using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, APIs, scripting tools, and emerging AI technologies.
• Evaluate and deploy practical AI tools that improve employee productivity, knowledge access, project execution, and business operations.
• Develop digital solutions that improve access to organizational knowledge, reduce manual effort, and increase the efficiency and consistency of business processes
• Negotiate and administer vendor, outsource, consultant contracts and service agreements related to IT.
• Manage cybersecurity risks in networks, software, and hardware.
• Communicate regularly with business leaders and end users regarding technology initiatives, system performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade, and support network and system infrastructure (computers, telecommunications, IT hardware, peripherals, servers, WiFi Access Points, and the like).
• Maintains a secure, reliable, and responsive technology environment.
• Delivers automation solutions that reduce manual work and improve productivity.
• Expands practical adoption of AI-enabled tools across the organization.
• Improves employee access to organizational knowledge and historical project information.
• Demonstrates measurable business value through technology, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Education, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar IT related field.
• Proven working experience in a relevant field with 3-7 years of experience in information technology, business systems, automation, digital transformation, or related technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
• Experience maintaining infrastructure with the following tools and technologies: Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Antivirus, Remote Access, Privileged Access Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, Mobile Device Management, Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, etc.
• Experience evaluating or deploying AI-enabled business tools.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

This is a hybrid role; the IT & Digital Innovation Lead will work in the St. Louis office and remotely. This position would require the ability to lift computers, laptops, printers and other IT related devices to a maximum of 50 pounds.
