Job Description

Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician

Job Type & Location: New Brighton, Minnesota

It is a 40hr/week full-time opportunity.

Job Requirements

Technical

• Minimum of 3 years of experience providing IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and OS issues, ensuring hardware warranty and security compliance.
• Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktops, printers, laptops, and peripherals, as well as desktop applications.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
• Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Expertise in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows, Mac, and Linux OS.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
• Support for peripherals and networking hardware including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, and racks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for systems and network issues.
• Experience in problem management and preventive actions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work with deadlines and take proactive ownership of tasks.
• Preferably an Associate Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification; vendor certifications are a plus.
• Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
