About the role

We are hiring an Associate Support Engineer to support customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products. This is a remote, globally accessible role where you will handle technical support cases, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical support remotely via phone, email, and web.
2. Own and manage support cases, ensuring high customer satisfaction and SLA compliance.
3. Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles.
4. Draft technical notices and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
5. Prioritize tasks and continuously learn about evolving products and services.
6. Understand Ubuntu development to set accurate customer expectations.
7. Participate in a weekend rotation schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record and degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux troubleshooting, logs, and configuration editing.
• Knowledge of Linux server administration, programming fundamentals, networking, or virtualization/cloud concepts.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year.
