DCCA, a veteran-owned IT contractor, is seeking a skilled IT/Desktop Services Specialist in Colorado. The role supports Windows and Linux desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including imaging, deployment, and maintenance.

You will troubleshoot OS and enterprise apps, manage AD and authentication, and mentor junior technicians. Required: active TS/SCI clearance, experience in enterprise IT, and strong knowledge of Windows/Microsoft 365, VPN, and networking basics.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks

• Provide Tier I, II, and III technical support for Windows and Linux desktop and laptop systems, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Linux operating system issues, Microsoft 365, Office applications, browsers, VPN, and common enterprise software issues.
• Install, configure, image, deploy, maintain, and upgrade Windows and Linux desktop and laptop computers.
• Perform software installations, updates, patch management, and operating system maintenance for Windows and Linux environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory and Linux authentication services, including user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
• Support enterprise endpoint management solutions and Linux system administration tools where applicable.
• Collaborate with Windows, Linux, server, network, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues. Tier Expectations Tier II
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of Windows and Linux operating systems, enterprise applications, network connectivity, and endpoint management solutions.
• Support Windows and Linux workstation imaging, deployments, configuration management, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Mentor Tier I technicians and assist with incident resolution. Tier III
• Resolve complex Windows and Linux operating system issues requiring advanced diagnostic skills.
• Perform root cause analysis, system optimization, performance tuning, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure projects, operating system upgrades, automation efforts, and process improvements.
• Develop technical documentation and serve as the primary technical escalation resource for desktop support teams.
• Required Skills: Experience providing desktop support in an enterprise environment.

• Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and transport computer equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to crawl under desks, install hardware, and work in server rooms or office environments as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Desired Skills: Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or other endpoint management platforms.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation.
• Experience supporting Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Experience in government, DoD, healthcare, financial, or other highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices.

• The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 74,000 - 236,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors.
