Contract IT Delivery Lead – End User Experience (Onsite)

Location: Charlotte, NC (onsite) Hybrid 3 days a week onsite

Duration: 12 month contract

We are seeking an experienced IT Delivery Lead to support and drive Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives within a large, enterprise environment.

While the role carries a Delivery Lead / Project Management title, it operates at the intersection of project execution, disaster recovery coordination, and strategic oversight. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing delivery while also contributing to DR planning, testing, and program structure in an evolving environment.

This role requires someone who can operate effectively where processes, ownership, and direction may not always be fully defined, and who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to critical DR initiatives.

What You’ll Own

Disaster Recovery Program Execution & Oversight

• Support and coordinate enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution activities
• Drive alignment across application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure DR readiness
• Assist in defining and improving DR processes, documentation, and testing frameworks
• Track DR risks, dependencies, and gaps across multiple systems and business units
• Contribute to ongoing DR strategy discussions, partnering with senior technical stakeholders

Delivery & Integration

• Lead execution of cross-functional DR and infrastructure initiatives
• Manage dependencies across infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity teams
• Drive end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring timelines and objectives are met
• Support integration of DR considerations into broader technology initiatives

Project & Change Management

• Establish structure and governance in an ambiguous or evolving environment
• Lead status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution
• Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Kanban) depending on the initiative
• Drive accountability across teams without direct authority

Testing & Readiness

• Coordinate and oversee DR testing activities (failover, failback, validation)
• Ensure systems meet recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) and business continuity requirements
• Track and validate remediation efforts following DR testing

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a key point of contact across business, infrastructure, and security teams
• Facilitate decision-making and drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to leadership
