Job summary

NJM Insurance Group in Trenton, NJ is inviting university students at the Sophomore or Junior level to join our IT Data Science Summer Intern program. You will work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to help with data prep, model development, and visualization tasks using Power BI, Databricks, and Python.

Qualifications

• Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 (3.5 or above preferred).
• Demonstrate knowledge of Power BI and Databricks.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Python for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing structured and unstructured data for analysis.
• Support the development and testing of predictive models and ML algorithms.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights using Power BI and Databricks.
• Write Python scripts for data manipulation and automation.
• Collaborate with team to validate model performance and document findings.
