Westbrook Regional Vocational Center is seeking an Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The role blends classroom learning with authentic, real-world projects and strong industry partnerships.

The ideal candidate has IT/Networking/Cybersecurity experience, holds state certification or is committed to obtaining it within three years, and is passionate about mentoring high school students toward college, industry credentials, and IT/cybersecurity careers.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of professional experience in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and engage diverse high school students through student-centered IT/Cybersecurity instruction.
• Collaborate with staff to differentiate instruction and support students in Special Education, 504, ML, and Gifted programming.
• Guide students in IT and cybersecurity career pathways and internships.
• Coordinate college visits, field experiences, and related enrichment opportunities.
• Maintain an inclusive, respectful classroom environment with high expectations.
