Job summary

Fair Lawn Public School District is seeking an Information Technology/Cybersecurity Analyst to join our district for a 12-month position. The candidate will manage IT environments, harden Windows servers, and oversee security across networking gear such as firewalls and routers. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Preferred experience includes cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), VMware, and familiarity with Linux. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field, or 5+ years IT/Cybersecurity experience.
Experience with IT environments and network equipment management.
Proficient in Windows servers and security configurations.
Experience with security platforms in networking devices (firewalls, routers, anti-malware, logging).
Familiar with NMAP, Procmon, and packet tracing.
Understanding of credential theft, malware, wire fraud attack vectors.
Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
Knowledge of VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper preferred.
Familiarity with Linux preferred.
