Job summary

Fair Lawn Public School District is seeking an Information Technology/Cybersecurity Analyst to join our district for a 12-month position. The candidate will manage IT environments, harden Windows servers, and oversee security across networking gear such as firewalls and routers. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Preferred experience includes cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), VMware, and familiarity with Linux. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field, or 5+ years IT/Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with IT environments and network equipment management.
• Proficient in Windows servers and security configurations.
• Experience with security platforms in networking devices (firewalls, routers, anti-malware, logging).
• Familiar with NMAP, Procmon, and packet tracing.
• Understanding of credential theft, malware, wire fraud attack vectors.
• Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
• Knowledge of VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux preferred.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/CYBERSECURITY ANALYST

District (12-Month Position/Non-affiliated)

We are presently accepting resumes for the following position.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or technical degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking Technologies or related field or a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in Information Technology/Cybersecurity
• Experience with IT environments and network equipment management
• Proficient in maintaining Windows servers and their security configurations
• Experience with installing and maintaining security platforms within networking equipment such as Firewalls, Routers, Anti-malware agents, security logging/tracing.
• Adept in implementing network security principles and use of common diagnostic tools like NMAP, Procmon and packet tracing
• Understanding of common end-user attack vectors for credential theft, malware delivery, wire fraud, etc. and handling and identifying exploitation techniques
• Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and prioritization skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, and AWS, preferred
• Knowledge of VMWare Hypervisor operating environments, preferred
• Knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, preferred
• Familiarity with Linux, preferred

Salary range: $72,000 - $76,500
