Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks an IT Controls Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to support HMI/SCADA systems for fossil and renewable generation, ensuring reliability and safe operation of critical assets.

You will coordinate across Generation IT, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity and plant operations, providing on-site IT/OT support and participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule. A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field with 5 years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure in an industrial environment and knowledge of renewable/fossil generation systems.
• Background working with SCADA/OT environments and willingness to travel to generation sites.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain HMI/SCADA systems in a process-control environment.
• Drive restoration and lifecycle upgrades of HMI/SCADA across the fleet.
• Interface with vendors and support teams during projects and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot industrial protocols to ensure data flow in EMS and OT systems.
• Provide on-site IT/OT coordination between Generation IT, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity and plant operations.
• Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for mission-critical applications.
