Job summary

Kearney & Company is seeking an IT Control Assessment Manager to join our growing firm. The role focuses on IT A-123 controls, strengthening IT governance for federal clients, and supporting regulatory initiatives with delivery leadership.

The candidate will lead IT risk assessments, design actionable remediation, and guide teams through modernization and cloud initiatives while delivering executive-ready reports and client-ready deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience in IT Audit or IT controls assessment and related governance support.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 2 years federal government experience.
• External assessment workpaper writing experience under CIGIE or GAGAS.
• Professional communication skills and clear business writing.
• Deep understanding of IT general and application controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT control assessments, including ITGCs, BPACs, internal IT audits, and A-123 evaluations.
• Facilitate workshops, risk assessments, and client meetings to evaluate controls and technology risks.
• Identify practical recommendations to improve security, compliance, and efficiency.
• Partner with executives and stakeholders to develop remediation plans and POA&Ms.
• Collaborate with system integrators to implement long-term control improvements.
• Review remediation activities to ensure root causes are addressed and compliant.
• Support ERP projects, cloud migrations, and digital transformation with GRC considerations.
• Develop executive-level reports and client deliverables communicating risks and priorities.
• Mentor seniors and staff, providing guidance and coaching.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Governance, Risk, and Compliance methodologies.
