Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Vancouver, WA seeks an IT Consultant V, Solutions - LIS, EPIC Beaker, Cerner Millennium to join the IT Laboratory Portfolio. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, collaborating with IT Consultants and Engineers.

Responsibilities include leading requirement elicitation, business case development, vendor evaluation, and process improvements across enterprise applications such as Cerner Millennium and EPIC Beaker.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years experience in software or system testing across multiple IT environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field and Minimum eight (8) years experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Job Summary:

As an IT Consultant for the Kaiser Permanente IT Laboratory Portfolio, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes cost estimating, design, implementation, documentation, configuration, testing, deployment of Laboratory IT solutions for our business partners. As a member working in a team environment, you will work in conjunction with other IT Consultants and IT Engineers on development and implementation activities. You will work in a team with strong skills and knowledge in various Laboratory Application, such as Cerner Millennium, EPIC Beaker, Wellsky Transfusion, Data Innovations and many others. You will implement, troubleshoot, and optimize solutions based on business needs and requirements. Emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and leadership by influence may also be useful skills for our team!

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for providing support for customers (users), and assigned applications and/or information systems, including software implementation, cross-functional integration, complex configuration, and testing. Additional responsibilities also include leading solution design support efforts and research initiatives for translating requirements into workable technical solutions, and supporting the evaluation of third-party vendors as directed.

• Provides insight, guidance, and recommendations throughout the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state by maintaining and leveraging a comprehensive understanding of how current processes impact business operations across the enterprise.
