Job summary

BRMi is seeking an IT Infrastructure Cable Technician to support a large financial services client onsite in Pensacola, FL. The technician coordinates, monitors, administers, and services technical environments, performing implementations, integration activities, and operational support.

Two or more years of cable installation experience, familiarity with BICSI standards, and experience with enterprise cabling are required. This is a W2, on-site role with an in-person interview for offers.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience performing cable-infrastructure installation services.
• Familiarity with BICSI standards and related certifications.
• Experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange materials and equipment.
• Review and verify service orders, drawings, specifications, requirements, and installation instructions.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice copper and fiber-optic cabling, including CAT5, CAT6, low-voltage, and fiber-optic cable.
• Install and mount telecommunications equipment in accordance with industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and established best practices.
• Install and support network infrastructure components, including routers, hubs, switches, racks, ladder racks, and J-hooks.
• Install access-control systems, surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and related devices.
• Select and verify cable pathways.
• Conduct site surveys.
• Assist with designing, developing, and implementing cabling standards and specifications.
• Oversee cabling projects performed by third-party contractors.
• Maintain documentation related to the cabling infrastructure.
• Install cable-support systems and pull network cabling through approved pathways.
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber-optic cable installations.

BRMi is seeking an IT Infrastructure Cable Technician to support a large financial services client onsite in Pensacola, FL. Hours: 6am – 2:30 pm with a flex schedule based on projects. Experience level is 1-5 years with preference being over 2 years.

The Technician coordinates, monitors, administers, and services technical environments. Completes implementations, performs integration activities, and provides operational support for technical environments.
