Job summary

BRMi is seeking an IT Infrastructure Cable Technician to support a large financial services client onsite in Pensacola, FL. The role operates 6am–2:30pm with a flex schedule based on projects, requiring 1–5 years of experience and familiarity with BICSI standards.

The technician will assemble, install, and maintain copper and fiber cabling, telecom equipment, and network infrastructure components, while coordinating with third-party contractors and ensuring documentation is up-to-date.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience performing cable-infrastructure installation services.
• Familiarity with BICSI standards and related certifications.
• Experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems in enterprise environments.
• This is a W2 opportunity; BRMi will not sponsor work visas.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange materials and equipment.
• Review service orders, drawings, specifications, requirements, and installation instructions.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice copper and fiber cabling (CAT5, CAT6, low-voltage, and fiber).
• Install and mount telecommunications equipment in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Install and support network infrastructure components (routers, hubs, switches, racks).
• Install access-control systems, surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and related devices.
• Select and verify cable pathways.
• Conduct site surveys.
• Assist with designing, developing, and implementing cabling standards and specifications.
• Oversee cabling projects performed by third-party contractors.
• Maintain documentation related to the cabling infrastructure.
• Install cable-support systems and pull network cabling through approved pathways.
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber-optic cable installations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

BRMi is seeking an IT Infrastructure Cable Technician to support a large financial services client onsite in Pensacola, FL. Hours: 6am – 2:30 pm with a flex schedule based on projects. Experience level is 1-5 years with preference being over 2 years. The Technician coordinates, monitors, administers, and services technical environments. Completes implementations, performs integration activities, and provides operational support for technical environments.
