SNI Companies is partnering with a growing technology-enabled services organization to hire a Business Systems Analyst in Virginia Beach. This role acts as the bridge between business users and software development teams, gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and documenting solutions to support internal and client-facing applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis experience with an understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile delivery practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of BA/Systems Analyst/Technology Analyst experience.
• Gathers requirements and documents functional solutions.
• Creates User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Process Flows, FRDs.
• Supports Agile software development teams.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar work management platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements with stakeholders.
• Translate needs into functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and user stories.
• Develop acceptance criteria and support quality assurance efforts.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation or improvement.
• Track issues, risks, and enhancement requests through resolution.
• Work alongside project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful delivery.
• Assist with application testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
• Maintain project documentation, process documentation, and business requirements artifacts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
• Support training material creation and end-user adoption efforts.
• Promote continuous improvement of business analysis practices and methodologies.

Overview

SNI Companies is representing a growing technology-enabled services organization in seeking a Business Systems Analyst to serve as the bridge between business users and software development teams. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, document solutions, and support the successful delivery of internal and client-facing applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis experience with an understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile delivery practices. This role offers the opportunity to influence application enhancements, process improvements, and technology initiatives across multiple business functions.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technology Analyst experience.
• Experience gathering business requirements and documenting functional solutions.
• Strong background creating:

  • Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
• Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar work management platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience working within custom software development environments.
• Exposure to ERP, CRM, or operational business systems.
• Understanding of SQL, APIs, data integrations, or application workflows.
