Elevar Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an IT Business Partner for R&D and Compliance to bridge R&D needs with IT strategy.

You will own Veeva Vault QMS and RIM systems, translating regulatory requirements into scalable technology roadmaps while ensuring compliance in a GxP setting. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with Veeva and third-party vendors/partners.
• Communicate project status, risks, and escalations to IT and R&D leadership.

Description

The IT Business Partner, R&D and Compliance serves as the strategic and operational bridge between R&D functions and IT, with particular ownership of the Veeva R&D application landscape (QMS, RIM, and related modules). This role translates R&D business needs and regulatory compliance into technology roadmaps and continuous improvement. One main focus is to ensure IT delivery is compliant, scalable, and aligned with global R&D and enterprise strategy. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a remote-based position located in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary IT partner for designated R&D functions (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Clinical Development), building and maintaining an account/relationship plan
• Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecyle for Veeva R&D systems - including Veeva Vault QMS (quality management, deviations, CAPA, change control) and Veeva Vault RIM (regulatory information management, submissions, registrations)
• Translate business and regulatory priorities into actionable technology plans, providing effort estimates and prioritization within IT investment cycles
• Lead or oversee system configuration, validation, and change control activities for Veeva platforms in a GxP-regulated environment
• Partner with Quality and Regulatory stakeholders to ensure Veeva systems support evolving compliance requirements (21 CFR Part 11, GxP, global submission standards)
• Build business cases for platform enhancements, integrations, and new capabilities; manage associated budgets
• Coordinate with enterprise architecture, data, and security teams to ensure Veeva and adjacent R&D systems are integrated and "global by design"
• Manage relationships with Veeva and other third-party vendors/implementation partners
• Communicate project status, risks, and escalations to IT and R&D leadership
• Mentor junior IT business partners or analysts supporting the Veeva platform portfolio
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI/ML, or process improvement within QMS/RIM workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Life Sciences, or related field
• 8 years in a client-facing IT role within pharma/biotech, with increasing responsibility
• Experience managing regulatory compliance globallyis required
• Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault QMS and Veeva Vault RIM (configuration, validation, or business ownership - specify which your org needs)
• Strong understanding of GxP-regulated environments, computer system validation (CSV/CSA), and change control processes
• Experience with regulatory submission processes and/or quality management processes in pharma R&D
• Proven ability to translate business/regulatory needs into technical requirements and delivery plans
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical, scientific, and regulatory audiences
• Experience building business cases and managing project or platform budgets
• Veeva-specific certifications (e.g., Veeva Vault QMS or RIM Administrator) a plus

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. Final compensation depends on multiple factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skillset, depth and breadth of knowledge, internal equity, and external market factors.
