Job Description: IT Business Analyst II

The IT Business Analyst II partners with business leadership to understand and clearly define their challenges and opportunities, and to recommend technology solutions that address them. They act as a liaison between various internal and external stakeholders and service providers to drive change and implement technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements
• Produce system designs and technical specifications
• Configure software
• Design data conversions, integrations, reports, and enhancements
• Test technology solutions
• Train key stakeholders such as support personnel, system administrators, and end users
• Maintain and support business software
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of:
• How application software has been configured and integrated to support business needs
• Database structures, data use, process inputs and outputs for responsible functions
• Business policies, practices, procedures, and deliverables supported by systems
• Technology trends and solutions that may be leveraged to meet organizational goals
• Act as project manager and subject matter expert for technology projects within the portfolio
• Communicate with application users to address incidents, fulfill requests, administer changes, and resolve problems, following established policies and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least three years of experience as Help Desk Technician, Instructor/Trainer, or in an equivalent role in a business function
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of industry standards and competitors
• Strong multitasking skills, with flexibility to perform duties outside scope when necessary
